Our Workshop in Mexico City
The Haute Couture jewelry company Boks&Baum was founded in May 2014, in Mexico City, by Sylvie Boksenbaum, in association with Jihane Jomni, and Bulle Decastille, General Manager.
Since then, all pieces have been created and manufactured in our workshop in Mexico.
Since 2014, we have worked to create a synergy between the original technique invented by Sylvie and the manual expertise of our craftswomen in embroidery, crochet, and sewing.
We recruit and train women from neighborhoods affected by social disparity and territorial segregation.
In this context, training in a highly specialized craft and access to quality employment are key levers for escaping informality, in a logic of empowerment.
Our current team consists of 32 women aged 18 to 54: 88% are mothers, 40% are single mothers, and half left school before the age of 16.
In addition to technical training, we strive to balance professional and personal life as effectively as possible.
Our mission of professional and social integration was recognized in January 2019 with the attainment of international certification, which reflects our investment as entrepreneurs committed to inclusive societal impact and a positive economy.
